CARROT Weather Comes To Mac, And The iOS App Gets Improvements To Match

Mac/iOS: CARROT Weather is a goofy, fun take on boring old weather forecasts that makes checking the weather a little more entertaining. Today, it’s launching on Mac alongside some improvements to the iOS app.

The iOS app gets a pretty hefty update, with notification forwarding from the Mac app, a time machine feature to view the weather for any location up to 70 years in the past (and counterintuitively, the 10 years into the future as well), weather maps, a new Today widget, and some new details for the main weather screen. The Mac app includes all the same features and can exist either in your menu bar or as an app in your dock. The Mac app is nice too. You can click anywhere in the app for detailed info about the weather, set notifications for weather alerts, check out a timeline of weather throughout the day and more. The Mac app is rather pricey at $12.99, but it certainly gets the job done and includes a lot of great features.
