Make Meaningful Introductions By Focusing On Common Interests

Often we introduce friends to one another based on what they do or how we know them. That works, but you can give them a chance to cut out small talk and launch right into a meaningful conversation by introducing them with what they have in common with each other.

By focusing on your friends’ shared interests, you’ll give them something to start talking about right away. For example, if both your friends volunteer for the same cause, you can bring it up. If they’re both into the same kind of music, mention one’s favourite band to the other. Are they both movie buffs? Open with the fact that they can’t stop talking about the latest leaked trailer for the summer’s upcoming blockbuster.

They will be able to dive into deeper conversation immediately and make a stronger connection with each other.
