Learn To Edge Band Plywood To Put A Finishing Touch On Your DIY Projects

Plywood is the most popular building material for DIY woodworkers. It’s relatively cheap, strong, and easy to work with. But not everyone is a fan of the unfinished edges. Here’s how to apply edge banding to give your plywood furniture a more finished look.

Edge banding is available as thin veneer, thin home sawn veneer and solid wood strip. The easiest to use is thin veneer banding that comes as a pre-glued roll. To apply the edge banding you’ll need an iron, edge banding roller, utility knife, block plane, and 180 grit sandpaper. It’s a simple process, and the finished product is more durable and just looks better.

Follow the steps in the video above and your plywood projects will never look the same.
