Killer Interview Question: On A Scale Of One To 10, How Weird Are You?

The following tip comes from Tony Hsieh, CEO of online shoe and clothing shop Zappos.com. While the exact number isn’t particularly important, you can learn a lot about a person by the way they answer the question. It can also be useful if you want to ferret out office bores and strung-out crazies.

“If you’re a one, you probably are a little bit too straight-laced for the Zappos culture,” Hsieh explains. “If you’re a 10, you might be too psychotic for us.”

How would you answer this question? And do you consider weirdness to be a plus or a minus in the workplace? Share your thoughts below.
