You only need a few inexpensive ingredients to make your own DIY car upholstery cleaner and get the inside of your car looking like new again.
Those ingredients are: grated soap, Borax and boiling water (plus lavender essential oil, if you want a nicer smell). Stir everything in a bowl until it’s foamy and the soap is dissolved and then scrub it into your upholstery.

Alternatively, if your car is *really* bad, you can take the seats out and pressure wash them. I did that with an old car I bought that looked like somebody had struck oil in the back seat and tried to soak it up with red dirt. Soap and a pressure washer followed by a day in the summer sun soon got them looking spotless.
Or scrub in white spirits on the stains and use a wetvac to clean. Dries quicker too with far less chance of mould.
