Get Perfectly Toasted Buns On The Grill With A Wet Rag

Toasted bread elevate your hamburgers to the next level, but when you’re cooking on a grill, you can end up with dry, crumbly buns. This trick with a simple wet rag will make sure they get crispy on the outside and stay succulent on the inside.

This video, from the ChefSteps YouTube channel, explains that the toasting process on a grill can severely dry out your buns. To fix that, just place your buns on the grill as normal, then place a wet rag next to the buns and close the lid.

The steam from the rag will moisten the bus while they get crispy. If you don’t have a lid to close, use something else to cover the buns and the rag together. (Just ensure you’re using a clean rag!)
