Chop Garlic Quickly With An Egg Cutter

Chop Garlic Quickly With An Egg Cutter

After you shake the peels off of garlic cloves, you can quickly chop them at once without using your knife. Grab your egg cutter for the job.

This tip comes from the ever-inventive Alton Brown. You might need a heavy duty egg cutter to pull this trick off, however, since cheaper ones with less sturdy wires might not be able to cut through the garlic.

You can cut mushrooms and strawberries with the tool too, making the egg cutter not a unitasker.
