‘The Day I Quit Is The Day Before I Succeed’

‘The Day I Quit Is The Day Before I Succeed’

For a lot of people, finding success comes down to perseverance. If you quit pursuing a goal today, you’ll never know what success tomorrow might bring. This daily mantra can help you remind yourself of that.

Sometimes, it’s smart to quit and cut your losses. That being said, you want to be sure that success is out of the question before you give up. Are you giving up because you know it’s a fool’s errand? Or are you giving up because it’s hard? At Quora, John Gannon shares a quote that helped him finally find success as a small business owner:

The only reason I even remotely considered pushing through is knowing I have a fantastic idea and a single quote that has been repeating in my head, every single day: “The day I quit is the day before I succeed…” It’s a funny thing because I almost quit last week. I was done. I was exhausted and feeling more depressed than ever. I didn’t care anymore. Today I am so happy I pushed through because my dedication and persistence has been rewarded… To think I almost threw in the towel last week. This stupid quote I’ve been kicking around for a year came true.

There’s no guarantee that tomorrow will bring you success, or that you’ll ever find the level of success you’re after, but you’ll certainly never know if you wave the white flag today. If you take a moment every day to remind yourself of the potential tomorrow always has, you just might find the motivation get through those rough patches.
