Proactively Block Facebook Apps And Games Before You Get Invites

Perhaps you love receiving never-ending invites to inane games on Facebook. Yeah… I didn’t think so. Fortunately, you don’t have to wait for the invite to come your way to block it — you can take a proactive stance on some of the more popular ones.

As Simple Help’s Ross McKillop explains, all you have to do is hit up your Facebook settings and visit the blocking section. There you’ll find a text box lablled “Block apps”, where you can type in the name of the offended game/app.

The text box features dynamic search results, so you should only have to type in the start of the name (or even just a few letters) to locate the right result. After that, just click the name and you’ll no longer receive messages, including invites, from that particular app.

To get you started, McKillop has compiled a list of the ten most popular games, sourced from Statista:

  • Candy Crush Saga
  • Candy Crush Soda Saga
  • Clash of Clans
  • Farm Heroes Saga
  • 8 Ball Pool
  • Hay Day
  • Criminal Case
  • Trivia Crack
  • Pet Rescue Saga
  • Bubble Witch 2 Saga
