iOS: There hasn’t been much in Apple’s incremental updates to iOS 8, but if you updated to iOS 8.3 and lost your jailbreak, it’s now available.
This is the first jailbreak since iOS 8.1.2 and it’s currently only available for Windows. The process for jailbreaking is super easy:
- Download the TAiG Jailbreak tool from this link (Windows only right now)
- On your iOS device, head to Settings >Touch ID and Passcode > Turn Passcode Off
- Head to Settings > iCloud > Find My iPhone and turn Find My iPhone off
- Plug your iOS device into your computer and launch the TaIG jailbreak tool
- Uncheck the 3K assistant option and leave Cydia checked
- Click Start and wait for it do its thing
Once you’re jailbroken, get to downloadingall the best apps.

Great heads up Thorin! Now that FunBox has been locked out, i’m forced to go back to jailbreaking so I can use my device again.
And like all phone jailbreaking attempts, remember to be careful about what you download. Plenty of (unoffical, dodgy) sites want to charge you for downloading the jailbreak, or serve you ads, or serve you a virus because you’re not paying attention to what you’re downloading.
Do your local IT guy a favour and don’t mess with things if you don’t know how they work!
Not to mention that you should probably wait for the community to verify that the jailbreak doesn’t install anything nasty on your phone while it’s rooting it.
