iOS/Web: Charlie, the web service that gets you ready for meetings by briefing you on who you’ll meet, now has an iPhone app that will get you up to speed before your meeting if you’re on the go. Even if you don’t have an iPhone, the service can now email you before the meeting so you’re ready when you walk in.
We’ve talked briefly about Charlie before and how it works, but for the unfamiliar the service pulls together useful information about the other people in your meeting — including social media profiles, published articles, news relating to them and their company, and so on — and presents it to you so you have a few conversation points when you walk in.
This update gives you the option to sync your calendar so you can get its briefing via email, in advance of your meeting. The iPhone app puts the idea right on your device, and lets you pull up briefings and profiles of people in your meetings right before the meeting is scheduled to begin, or long before, so you can take your time and research. The iPhone app will even send you a push notification before your meeting, so you have time to look over the briefing before you walk in.
In addition to the new briefing digests and iPhone app, Charlie also integrates with Outlook, so you can get the briefings on your computer before your next meeting. The service is still free, although there’s a premium version that offers more in-depth information on meeting attendees, company profiles, and other organisations. Hit the link below to try it out.
