Build A Wall-Mounted Clamp Rack To Keep Your Favourite Clamps At Arms Reach

Clamps are often stored in a clamp drawer, where they get tossed around and tangled with each other. This makes it difficult to sort them out when you need them. Build this wall-mounted clamp rack that will hold your c-clamps, bar clamps and quick grips for easy access.

This rack can be built from scrap 2×4 and plywood. You’ll also need a 1/2 metal rod cut to the length of your rack. You can cut the back board to length with a jigsaw, and use it to round out the front arms. Use a drill to pre-drill the pilot holes in the arms and into the wall.

You’ll definitely find more elegant solutions out there, but for a quick fix to your clamp clutter woes, this wall rack should work fine.

Check out the step-by-step instructions with plans from Make Magazine below. (Hopefully they flipped the c-clamps in that photo so they don’t bang the wall.)
