Amazon Adds Private Sharing To Kindle For Android

One of the big benefits of e-books is the ability to share snippets of books quickly and easily with other interested readers. Amazon’s latest update streamlines this process.

Previously, Amazon’s sharing feature for social networks included Twitter and Facebook, but only in fully public mode, which meant that your thoughts about that scene in Fifty Shades Of Grey went far and wide. The latest update to the Android Kindle app allows for one to one sharing with a specific individual, as well as allowing non-Kindle users to preview Kindle content without installing a specific app.

Amazon’s planning to bring the feature to its own e-readers, including the recently launched New Kindle Paperwhite, as well as other devices “later this year”.
