‘A Setback Is A Setup For A Comeback’

Everybody loves a good comeback. When something doesn’t go your way in life, it’s important to look at it as an opportunity to prove that you can adapt and overcome.

Speaker, minister and author Eric Thomas reminds us in his book The Secret of Success that getting knocked back is really a step forward toward achievement:

A setback is a setup for a comeback.

Giving up on goals can lock yourself into a vicious cycle. You start to tell yourself that failure means it’s time to move on to something different instead of telling you to pick yourself up and brush the dirt off. If you don’t ever try to make a comeback, you’ll never get better at anything. Stop worrying about the “score” and keep learning. Eventually your comeback will happen and you’ll be thankful for each and every setback along the way.
