Use An Electric Toothbrush To Pick Locks

Use An Electric Toothbrush To Pick Locks

Learning to pick locks is fun and educational — and you don’t need a lock picking set to do it. In addition to hairpins and bra underwire, two everyday objects you can turn into lock picks are paperclips and toothbrushes.

The video above from The Tim Ferriss Experiment shows how to use these household items to unlock padlocks. The paperclip method is easier said than done, because you have to bend them into specifically shaped tools, but it’s still something you can learn.

The electric toothbrush method, however, seems simpler — you just need to remove the brush head and, voila, you’ve got a power lock pick. Remember, though, kids, use this knowledge for good, not evil.
