Google Is Now Searching Twitter, So You Have Nowhere To Hide

Google’s ambitions to make everything searchable as soon as it happens just stepped up a notch. It is now going to show relevant tweets direct from Twitter when you search.

Like most Google updates, this one will roll out slowly. Initially it will be available only on mobile devices — either through the browser or via Google’s Android and iOS apps — and it will only work in English. (Unlike some Google rollouts, that would appear to be all English-language sites, not just US English.)

Eventually, though, Google plans to add it to its desktop search and across multiple languages. Twitter search itself can often be variable, so this could be a useful extension. It’s also a reminder that anything you say on Twitter will never be forgotten, even if you delete it. Be cautious.
