A question apparently asked by Airbnb of its candidates with one of the most obvious traps of any interview question. Within reasonable constraints, it doesn’t matter who you pick, as long as you can justify the choice in some detail if they pursue further questions and demonstrate why those are abilities that make you a better hire than the next potential candidate.

What that means is that it would help to know at least a little about your chosen public figure, and be able to relate their publicly accepted values to the job at hand. It’s also going to be best to stay non-controversial with your choice of candidate and view of their personal values, because the last thing you want is to get into an argument with an interviewer about the positions of public figures. All that does is show that you’re argumentative.

How would you answer the question?
