There’s a new Star Wars film coming, in case you haven’t noticed. Twitter is celebrating by adding new Star Wars-centric emojis.
They’re not available, sadly, as direct emoji from an app keyboard, but instead parsed by Twitter when you add specific hashtags and converted within Twitter and its mobile apps only.
Right now, the available hashtags are:
#C3PO
#STORMTROOPER
#BB8
This is only the start, with Twitter promising a variety of Star Wars emojis to come “including iconic legacy characters and a handful of new characters from #TheForceAwakens”. Just no Jar Jar Binks, please.
