Chores probably aren’t your favourite way to spend your free time, but they need to get done. Put your favourite chores first or last to motivate you by giving you something to look forward to.

If you have trouble getting started, do the chore you enjoy most first — and snowball that momentum to power through the rest of your list. If you find you have more issues with getting your list finished, put your favourite chore last as a reward.
Of course, you can also use this idea to help get through your chore list in other ways. For example, I do my chores by type (sweeping, wiping counters and so on) since the movement between rooms in my apartment keeps me going. Think about the way you do your chores so that you can find the method that motivates you most.
