We've talked before about how to <cook in your dishwasher. If you have veggies that you like to have tender yet still a little crisp, your dishwasher offers a handy way to do it.
As WonderHowTo explains, all you have to do is toss veggies like green beans or carrots in a Mason jar, add a bit of oil and some seasonings, put the lid on, and then put it in the dishwasher while you're cleaning other dishes.

What I like about this tip is the sealed Mason jars. You can cook your veggies while you're doing a regular load of dishes. I'm thinking it might be nice to toss some veggies in to cook while doing the evening load of dishes so that I can throw together a quick veggie or pasta salad for lunch the next day.
