Chrome Device Management Comes To Australia

Need to manage a large fleet of Chromebooks? Google is now selling its Chrome Device Management platform to Australian and New Zealand users.

We’re two of seven countries which have been added to the list of locations which can purchase the management suite. The service costs $US50 per user per year (though it may be included for free if you’re a large site purchasing Chromebooks directly through Google). Using the suite offers a more flexible range of security policies than are available with generic Chromebooks.

At its Chrome Live user conference, Google also announced that it will be adding Box integration to Chromebooks — an interesting development given that Box competes with Google Drive as a storage platform.
