Samsung Galaxy S6 And S6 Edge Australian Pricing

Samsung’s new flagship Android phones for 2015, the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, officially go on sale today in Australia. Here’s what you’ll pay to buy them outright.

The S6 and S6 Edge will be available for preorder online from 5pm AEDT today (March 30) and in stores from March 31. The actual ship date is April 10.

These are Samsung’s official recommended prices. Shopping around online will potentially score you a cheaper deal, but remember to check that devices purchased from overseas support the mobile network frequencies used in Australia.

Model Memory RRP
Galaxy S6 32GB $999
Galaxy S6 64GB $1149
Galaxy S6 128GB $1299
Galaxy S6 edge 32GB $1149
Galaxy S6 edge 64GB $1299
Galaxy S6 edge 128GB $1449

As ever, the S6 will also be offered on contract through the major carriers — which saves you spending $1000 or more up front, but can cost you more in the long run. We’ve rounded up the carrier pricing offers in a big Planhacker feature. Telstra’s update of its plan prices this week is almost certainly in part influenced by this phone launch, since those new prices kick in the day before the phone is released.
