Patch Tuesday: 14 Patches And Freaking

That second Tuesday of the month rolls around quickly, doesn’t it? This month’s batch of Windows and Office patches includes 14 fixes, with a partial fix for the recently discovered FREAK vulnerability amongst them.

Of the 14 vulnerabilities, five are deemed “critical” and nine “important”. Vulnerabilities discussed this month include attacks that could be triggered by specially configured PNG files or Adobe fonts. That reminds us that any sort of code, no matter how innocuous-sounding, is potentially vulnerable. And yes, you’ll be rebooting.
