Slugs can be pretty damaging to a vegetable or herb garden. You can buy products designed to get rid of them, but you can also use something you probably already have around the house: beer.

As gardening site Gardening Know How points out, the best long-term way to control slugs in your garden is by trying to attract predators like toads and non-poisonous snakes. To get rid of the slugs you have now, though, just put out a pan of beer. It can be warm and flat, so leftover beer is fine.
After being attracted and coming to check out the beer, the slugs will drown in it. Hit up the full article for more tips on dealing with garden slugs.
