Operational Intelligence

You’ll be part of the Air Force’s Aerospace Intelligence Employment Group and be employed in the sensitive and highly challenging fields of operational and signals intelligence. You’ll apply analytical skills to collect, process and publish foreign intelligence using state-of-the-art technology.
How much does it pay? Salary package upon completion of training is $77,270 per year (includes 18% super and Service allowances)
Signals Intelligence
What’s cool about this job?: If you’re an analytical thinker, you’ll love this role. You’ll be collecting, analysing and publishing signals intelligence information using the latest in communications equipment. You’ll be required to identify and record selected electronic emissions and/or technical signals and report on the technical parameters of those transmissions. You’ll need a high level of written and oral communications skills, be able to think objectively, perform well under pressure and have strength of conviction.

Geospatial Intelligence
What’s cool about this job? This is one unique gig. You’ll work in a highly classified environment producing intelligence products from imagery and geospatial information. You’ll maintain imagery libraries, work with aircrew and RAAF Intelligence Officers in reconnaissance and strike mission planning, maintain computerised intelligence databases and interpret and analyse all forms of imagery using analytical skills to produce geospatial and imagery-related reports. You’ll produce tailored intelligence products in support of a broad range of ADF maritime, land and air operations, manage intelligence materials and resources and deploy, at short notice, to locations within Australia and overseas.
