Hump Day Deals: Free Pussy Cats, 80% Off Rockstar Games, Half-Price Wines

Hump day (AKA Wednesday) is arguably the most boring day of the week. So why not liven things up by grabbing one of these nifty online bargains? Deals that caught our eye this week include: 80% off Rockstar games from the PlayStation Store, adopt a cat from RSPCA Victoria for free, get 50 per cent off select wines at Vinomofo.   • Titanfall PC season passes are now free from the Origin Store.
  • The PlayStation store has slashed the price of Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition from $84.95 to $17.95. This is an excellent price for an above-average GTA clone.
  • GOG.com has discounted a range of classic video games. Deals that caught our eye include Unreal Tournament 2004 for $3.89, Duke Nukem 3D for $2.39, Aliens Versus Predator Classic for $3.89 and Rise of The Triad for $2.99. In addition, there will be a sale this Friday with up to 70 per cent off select RPG titles.
  • For a limited time, the PlayStation Store is offering up to 80 per cent off a wide selection of Rockstar Games' greatest hits, including Red Dead Redemption, The Warriors, Canis Canem Edit/Bully, Max Payne 3 and Grand Theft Auto V. Prices start at just $2.99. Click here to see the full range.
  • Target is having a clearance sale across all entertainment categories, including video games. Deals that caught our eye include Assassin's Creed 3 on Wii U for $15, NBA Live 14 on PS4 for $22 and Titanfall on Xnox One for $24.
  • Harvey Norman has slashed the price of selected video games. Noteworthy deals include Ryse on Xbox One for $22, Battlefield 4 on PS3 for $24 and inFamous: First Light on PS4 for $17.
  • You can still get the original Syndicate from Origin for free. If you haven't played this game before, here's a perfect opportunity to get your shady cyberpunk on.
  • The Internet Archive has released over 2000 classic MS-DOS video games into an easy-to-navigate repository. Every single one of the games is free to play in your browser. Click here to see some of the best titles.

  • The Commonwealth Bank has updated its Android app, adding the ability to use any Android phone with NFC and running Android 4.4 or later for Tap & Pay purchases. Sweet!

  • Streaming entertainment service Presto is offering a free 30-day trial of its full TV and movies subscription bundle. Prospective customers can try out the full Presto package for a month, which now includes newly added HBO shows such as Rome, Big Love and Hung. Click here for more information.
  • WindowsDeal has slashed a handful of PC software titles by up to 100 per cent. This week's free deals include WinUtilities Pro 11.3, GiliSoft Video Converter 9.0 and Wise Folder Hider Pro 3.2. (We've not personally tested any of these products, so be mindful of included bloatware.)
  • Udemy has released another batch of free online courses that normally cost up to $199. This week's deals include Microsoft Excel Step by Step Training, How to Think Like Einstein and Python for Beginners. See the full range of free courses here.

  • Running low on USB thumb drives? Office Works is selling 8GB SanDisk Cruzer Facet model for just $4.77. Alternatively, you can bulk-buy ten for $35.
  • Dick Smith has slashed 20 per cent off big brand TVs including Samsung, Panasonic, LG and Sony. The deal ends 23 March.
  • Food/Drink

  • Event Cinemas is giving away a free small popcorn and drink when customers pay with Masterpass. That's a saving of approximately $800. (We're exaggerating, but only slightly.)
  • Vinomofo has slashed the price of Lindemans Limestone Ridge Shiraz Cabernet 2012 and Sensi 'Collezione' Pinot Grigio 2013 by more than 50 per cent. You can also get a secret Shiraz with a 95pt James Halliday rating for half-price.
  • Target is selling a snow cone maker for just $9. You can also get popcorn makers, milkshake makers and chocolate fountains for $5 apiece.
  • The cheapest water comes out of a tap. Close behind is this deal from Office Works: 24 600ml bottles of Peats Ridge spring water for $7. That's what I pay for a single bottle of V!
  • Harvey Norman is offering $100 cash back on its Nespresso range. You can also get a 0% interest payment plan for 24 months.
