Google is offering up a preview of the new version of Google Contacts today. Contacts is getting a big visual overhaul to make it easier to manage your contacts and see everything you’ve been talking about.
The new design makes it a lot easier to get rid of duplicates and it makes sure contacts are kept up to date by tapping into their Google profile. Likewise, you can now see your most recent emails and meetings with a person right in their contact card. You can try out the new Contacts by heading to contacts.google.com/preview.

Treating paying customers worse than free customers makes literally no sense.
That is GREAT news! The lack of contacts is a huge, gaping hole in the new Inbox. Was considering ditching Inbox for that reason.
Hmm, seems like it could be more intuitive in a few ways… one would think you could click where someones profile picture should be to upload a pic… but you have to click on the “Add a photo” link on the right…
And clicking on someones name… does nothing, rather than going to Edit or something…
