Channel Nine

Unlike in previous years, the 87th Annual Academy Awards are being broadcast on free-to-air television in real-time. Head to Channel 9 to start watching. (There will also be a repeat telecast on the digital channel Gem at 8 p.m.)

Foxtel

If you have a Foxtel subscription, you can watch the Academy Awards live by either flicking to the E! Entertainment channel (red carpet only) or live streaming it through your browser. E! will also be broadcasting its Oscars After Party event from 3:30pm.

Other options

You can also watch behind-the-scenes footage on the Oscars website (VPN required) or ABC's Facebook page.

And of course, your social networking sites are perfect if you just want to keep tabs on who's winning. Your best bet is The Academy on Twitter. Our sister site POPSUGAR Australia is also covering the show live.
