How To Watch The Oscars In Australia Live

The 87th Annual Academy Awards are happening right now, with American Sniper, Birdman, Boyhood, The Imitation Game, The Grand Budapest Hotel, Selma, The Theory of Everything and Whiplash battling it out for Best Picture honours. Here are the various ways to watch it live.

Channel Nine

Unlike in previous years, the 87th Annual Academy Awards are being broadcast on free-to-air television in real-time. Head to Channel 9 to start watching. (There will also be a repeat telecast on the digital channel Gem at 8 p.m.)

Foxtel

If you have a Foxtel subscription, you can watch the Academy Awards live by either flicking to the E! Entertainment channel (red carpet only) or live streaming it through your browser. E! will also be broadcasting its Oscars After Party event from 3:30pm.
