Calluses on your hands from the gym are both blessing and a curse. They’re a sign that you’ve been lifting regularly. However, they will ruin the smoothest of hands and might be difficult to get rid of. Here’s a novel trick to prevent them.

You can create a pad for barbells by using a jump rope with padded handles. Use a knife to cut off the padding. Then, wrap the padding around any barbell. You’ll end up with barbell pads that protect your hands from calluses and are far cheaper than the market alternatives.
