When you face your to-do list each day, you might organise it by priority or mix in some rewards. Another approach is to find out which tasks give you energy and strength, just like Popeye uses spinach.

Tasks can empower you or drain you and the order you do work may be the secret to getting more done. Delivering Happiness explains:
Pull out your to-do list for the day and let’s pretend that you are Pop-Eye.
Imagine all of the items that you have to do (but don’t necessarily want to do) are weights that you carry around with you. These weights are what we call synthetic demands. They are high importance(at least to other people), but usually low-impact.
Tasks that excite and inspire you are like a can of spinach. For those of you not in the know, spinach gave pop-eye crazy amounts of strength, and energy.
How do you figure out what the Spinach is for you? Simple. Ask: “What do I really want to do today?
Insert your spinach task any time you need a turbo boost. The logical place to start is the morning, but look at your energy levels as well. If you start the day strong, a spinach task might be better for a mid-afternoon slump. Check out the link for some examples.
