Briefly: Halo 5 Multiplayer, CES Day Zero Highlights, Dashcam Fails

Brief news items of note for Lifehacker readers, including: Halo 5 multiplayer hands-on, dashcam compilation of Australia’s worst drivers, all the pre-show announcements from CES 2014.

  • Last week, Microsoft and 343 Industries launched the multiplayer beta of Halo 5 and it’s pretty amazing; as evidenced by Kotaku’s extensive hands-on. While purists may balk at the changes, the franchise appears to be in good hands. Hurrah!
  • The Consumer Electronics Show, better known as CES, is about to kick off once again. Head to Gizmodo for all the pre-show highlights including MSI’s mechanical keyboard-equipped laptop, 3D smartphones and live reporting from NVIDIA’s CES press conference.
  • If there’s one other thing that this dashcam compilation teaches us, it’s that Australians love yelling the “F- word” behind the wheel. Some of us are also really terrible drivers.
  • If you want to capture your own brushes with vehicular maniacs, here’s a deal worth considering: Target is selling HD car crash cameras for just $39; a saving of $40. [Via OzBargain]
