This quote comes to us from a recent interview on Freakonomics with Wired co-founder Kevin Kelly, and is a nice reminder that a tool doesn’t need a specific definition.

When speaking about his book, Cool Tools, Kelly describes a tool this way:

A tool is just an opportunity with a handle. It’s just a way of thinking about something differently.
