We know that sleep is a very important part of our lives, but there are still some things that a lot of people believe that aren't necessarily true. Here's clarification on some of the most popular misconceptions about sleepy time.

Over at the Mental Floss YouTube channel, Elliott clears the air about a lot of the things you've probably heard over the years. For example, working out at night doesn't necessarily mean you won't be able to sleep at your normal time, counting sheep isn't as effective as just picturing a peaceful place, and that you do actually dream outside of REM sleep. Misconceptions about sleep are pretty common because there's still a lot we don't understand, but you don't want to perpetuate every old wives' tale you hear.
