Having offered it in pilot mode since September, Telstra this week has begun generally selling its local implementation of Cisco Cloud Services in Australia.
The OpenStack-based service is hosted from Telstra’s Clayton data centre
Telstra’s local cloud strategy has involved multiple partnerships. As well as working with Cisco on Intercloud and related services, it’s also the partner for VMware’s local vCloud Air offering and is working with Microsoft as well. Its deal with Cisco gives it exclusive rights to sell Cloud Services for 18 months.
