Kogan Attracts Phishing Spam Now

This is a very perverse kind of compliment: Australian online retailer Kogan is evidently now well-known enough for cyber-criminals to use it as bait in phishing emails.

Although it includes the logo and no massive spelling errors, this isn’t a particularly persuasive phishing attempt — there’s no personalisation for starters. It’s evidently aimed at a US audience (note the spelling of “license” used as a noun) — presumably the hope is that someone who has ordered from the US might believe there were customs hoops to jump through.
