Unlock Hidden Camera Settings On Your Motorola Device

Unlock Hidden Camera Settings On Your Motorola Device

Android: Motorola’s stock camera app is pretty great, but could be better. XDA developer GodofPsychos has released an APK that unlocks advanced settings, giving you way more control of your stock camera.

The APK unlocks UI settings like inactivity timeout, picture sizes (from 1280 by 720 to 4160 by 2340) and video sizes (from 176 by 144 to 3840 by 2160), multi-shot capture rate, calibration data and face detection options. The app works whether you’re rooted or not, and installs as a completely separate app, so you don’t have to overwrite the stock camera to use it. Just download it like normal, launch it, swipe to open the regular settings and tap the ladybug to access the hidden ones.

XDA users confirmed the app works on 1st and 2nd Generations Moto G, 2nd Generation Moto X. We tested the 1st Generation Moto X, and it appears to work as well. You can try it on non-Motorola devices too, but might lack a few features or run into other problems. For example: the mod worked for everything except video for the Xperia Z2.
