Make A Custom Wallet With Scrap Leather

Quality leather wallets can be expensive. Instead of purchasing one, grab some scrap leather and use this guide to make your own.

Inspire to Make shows us just how easy it is to make a leather wallet. All you need is some scrap leather, a ruler, a utility knife, needle nose pliers, glue and string. It’s simple:

  1. Cut an 8.5 by 3 inch (22cm by 7.cm) strip of leather, and two slightly smaller strips, with a ruler and box cutter.
  2. Make slots on the smaller strips, then super glue them to the larger strip.
  3. Punch holes in the leather for seams, and sew the ends.
