  • TownCraft is an addictive iOS strategy game that was created here in Australia. Normally costing $6.49, you can currently snap it up for $2.40. If you’re a fan of the retro game Settlers, it’s worth checking out.
  • The PC remake of the classic video game Gauntlet is now $13.39 on Steam; a saving of 33 per cent. “Green elf needs food, badly!”
  • Steam has also slashed the price of Shadow Warrior by 75 per cent: originally costing $39.99, it’s now priced at $9.99.)
  • Ubisoft is launching closed beta access to The Crew on PS4 and Xbox One from tomorrow. Click here for your free code.
  • For any gamers who missed last week’s announcement, Lucasarts has finally re-released the classic PC games X-Wing and Tie Fighter on GoG. Hurrah! The games cost $11.49 apiece.
  • This week’s Humble Bundle features spooky video games. Pay what you want for Knock-Knock (making its DRM-free debut), Home, and Vertical Drop Heroes HD (with a new, special Halloween mode!).   • Amazon is offering 100 Kindle ebooks for free. Genres include children’s books, humour, cookbooks, information technology, photography, parenting, sports and mystery/suspense. Amazon’s discounts are known to end without warning, so check the price before finalising your purchase.
  • Udemy has slashed the prices of a handful of online courses by 100 per cent. Available courses include The Ultimate Microsoft Project 2013 Training Bundle (RRP: $247), Become a Kick-Ass Web Developer: From Newbie to Pro (RRP: $497), Dreamweaver CC for Beginners (RRP: $197) and The Ultimate QuickBooks Pro Training Bundle (RRP: $397).
  • AnimeLab is a streaming service that lets you watch more than 1000 anime shows and simulcasts direct from Japan in HD. You can now get the service free on Android. Hurrah!
  • Windowsdeal.com has slashed the price of Magic Camera 8.8 by 100 per cent. This is a webcam enhancing program that lets you add artistic and funny effects to your video chats.
  • You can also get PasswordsPro 3.5, Ashampoo Core Tuner 2, Aiseesoft PDF to Word Converter and Simply Good Pictures 3 for free.
