Twitter Introduces SoundCloud Streaming Integration For Mobile Apps

Android/iOS: Twitter announced today on its blog that users will be able to stream audio directly from tweets within mobile apps on iOS and Android via SoundCloud.

The new feature is called Twitter Audio Cards and allows you to stream a song or podcast in the mobile app while browsing as you please. If you follow any creators that use SoundCloud, you can find a tweet of theirs with the embedded SoundCloud player and just give it a tap. The audio will start to stream right then and there. Tap the button in the upper right-hand corner and it will minimize the player with no audio interruption. This makes sharing newly released tunes or great podcasts easier for everybody.
