Steam Improves Search, Adds Curators To Make Finding Games Easier

Steam has always been a great place to find deals on games. Finding the right game amongst the library is a bit harder. Today, Steam makes it easier with new discovery tools, including curated channels.

Curated channels allow established groups to create a set of recommendations for games. You can follow curators from people or groups you trust (like, for example, our sister site Kotaku’s channel) to get suggestions that might be more relevant to your particular interests.

The new update also brings an improved recommendation engine for the store itself, as well as better filters for sifting through games while you’re looking for something new to play. The Store will also now recommend titles to you based on the games you’ve bought, how much you’ve played them, and recommendations from friends. Ideally, this will result in a much, much better shopping experience.
