Android: Widgets can make your Android phone or tablet much more productive. Month is a new calendar widget that does what most apps do, without ever having to open an app — and it looks good too.
Download and set up the widget, which automatically takes information from your Google Calendar. You can choose secondary information with each date, so you know whether you have events or birthdays on that day, or even the lunar cycle. Tap the month to bring up an annual calendar. Tap any date to bring up cards with all the events on that day, which you can scroll left or right for previous or next days, respectively.
You can also quickly add a new event in this part, along with setting up a reminder. In short, it does the basics of scheduling, although you won’t get the advanced features of Business Calendar, the best calendar app on Android. For $2, you can remove ads and unlock all the various calendar themes, which is a 60 per cent discount at the moment.
