Unsurprisingly, Apple would like to help Android users move to the iPhone. Ahead of the iPhone 6 going on sale, the company has released an in-depth guide to moving your content from your Android phone to the iPhone.
It covers moving your email, contacts, and calendars, photos and videos, music, books and PDFs, documents and apps. Unfortunately, any paid Android apps can’t be ported over — you have to buy them again — but otherwise the page walks you through moving your data from your old phone to your new iPhone so you can make a clean switch from Android to iPhone. Our own Lifehacker guide has extra details on tasks beside moving content, such as getting used to the interface.
TechHive notes that automatic migration tools, such as those from HTC and Motorola, are easier to use than these directions, but Apple’s guide still could be a handy reference for anyone jumping ship to the iPhone.
