The editors scour the internet for pretty websites and find out the fonts used. A snapshot of the site and the fonts used tell you how it all looks together. Each font also comes with download links to get it for yourself.
Fonts are tagged, so you can search for something like “Georgia” or “Helvetica Neue” to see a list of websites where it is used and what other fonts are used with it.
Couple this knowledge with the basics of colour theory and your designs should stand out and be pleasing to the eye.
