Disable Fullscreen Keyboard Reduces Keyboard Size In Landscape Mode

Android (rooted): When you tap in a text input field while your phone is flipped on its side, the keyboard and text entry area occupy the entire screen. Disable Fullscreen Keyboard is an Xposed module that prevents this from happening.

As this is an Xposed Module, you’ll need to install the Xposed Framework — we’ve looked at this before — and you can then download the module itself from the link below. Activate Disable Fullscreen Keyboard and restart your handset.

There are no settings to configure. Once enabled, the module reduces the size of the text entry field. In messaging apps this means you can see more of your messaging history, but there are benefits in other apps as well. Disable Fullscreen Keyboard works with a range of different keyboards including SwiftKey, Swype and Google keyboard.
