Mac: Tired of the mess of icons on your desktop? When cleaning them up isn’t an option, free app Desktop Pirate can show and hide them with one click.
Desktop Pirate is about as simple as it gets. Launch it, click the show or hide buttons, and watch your desktop icons disappear (or reappear). Note that you can do the same thing with an Automator service, but Desktop Pirate is a good alternativeif you don’t feel like going through the trouble of scripting it up yourself.
