Apartment Therapy suggests attaching your cleaning tools to the outside of your fridge with a strip of Velcro. You might think that a magnet would be a better option, but author Carrie McBride noted she had a hard time finding the right glue to keep the magnets attached to the dustpan over time.
If you’re not keen on the idea of sticking a dirty dustpan to your fridge, any vertical surface, like a cabinet door, will do. You can use the same idea to keep a broom out of the way as well.

Simpler solution: put a hook on the wall and then the hook & loop fastener doesn’t fill with dirt.
i was born in the 80’s… every things better with Velcro!
Sweet! So to make more room at home I should just velcro everything to the walls and ceilings? Will Do!
Now all I need is a way to attach Velcro that won’t make my landlord hit the roof next inspection. Not renter friendly at all. Not in this country.
