Not everyone needs or wants a smartphone worth hundreds of dollars — for some it’s all about bang for buck. Huawei’s 1.2GHz, dual-core G526, complete with 540 x 960, 245ppi screen is more than good enough and a solid deal at around $150. So Target’s current sale price of $79 makes it an absolute steal, if you can find them in stock.

OzBargain’s xywolap reports that the retailer is currently running a half-off promotion on its range of Vodafone-supplied smartphones, with the most compelling deal being the aforementioned price on the G526.
While it’s not an isolated discount, going by the comments on OzBargain, your closest Target might not be forthcoming with the sale. If in doubt, be sure to ask someone in-store!
As for the Vodafone lock-in, you should be able to easily sort that out via the company’s website.
