System Center Adds Office 365 Management Tools

Managing a large Office 365 deployment just potentially became a little easier: Microsoft has released a management pack for System Center 2012 R2 so you can track Office 365 users and issues, and opened up an API that allows other management tools to track activities using Office 365.

The Office 365 Management Pack is a free download and won’t work on pre-2012 R2 versions. It provides alerts for any service outages. System Center 2012 R2 has also just received an update.

If you’re not in the System Center universe, the API allows similar alerts to be sent to your management platform of choice.
