Monitor The Activity Of Your Installed Chrome Apps And Extensions

Want to know what your installed Chrome apps and extensions are really up to? Google’s Chrome App and Extensions Developer Tool will help you audit the activity behind those apps and extensions.

The tool, a Chrome app itself, was introduced earlier this year for developers to debug apps and extensions, but the new auditing feature is fit for developers and power users alike. You can see the activities your apps and extensions have performed recently, as well as see what they’re doing in real time.

There’s a special privacy section to highlight activities that use your information, such as reading website cookies or seeing your open tabs. You can also search by URL to see if an extension has modified matching web pages.

Learn more about the tool on Google’s Chromium blog, or install the app from the link below.
