Mac: You’ll find lots of syncing notes apps out there, but we like the iOS version of Write because it manages to toe the line between simplicity and feature-packed. The new Mac app makes that experience even better.
Write bills itself as a distraction-free notes app, but it actually does a lot more. It has the clean design and excellent full-screen writing modes you’d expect, but it also supports Markdown and HTML, it has a rich export feature, it connects to social networks and it has a variety of font options. It sits in that Goldilocks zone somewhere between a plain text app like Simplenote and a more feature-rich platform like Evernote. If you’re a fan of the iOS app, Write for Mac is a no-brainer. If you’re looking for a feature-rich but uncomplicated notes app, Write is worth a look.
